In Vietnam’s Central Highlands, nestled among the hills and the fertile red basalt soils of Đăk Nông province, lie the lush plantations of Farmer Phú. It’s from here that we source the finest Robusta beans for our Lacàph Phin Blend, chosen for their underlying earthy notes and rich flavours.

Adding a touch of Arabica to enhance the depth and character of the Robusta, the Lacàph team roast the beans before laying them down for over a month, reducing their natural acidity, then continuously blending the batches allowing their rich flavours to mature. The result is a bold, full-bodied roast with velvety notes of crushed roasted hazelnuts and bittersweet hot cacao.

Phú comes from three generations of coffee growers in the hills of Đăk Nông and draws upon years of experience and know-how when cultivating his coffee trees. The Robusta beans we select from his farm have been honey processed, enhancing their natural sweetness and adding subtle layers of aroma to the roast. Not what you might expect from a phin blend.

When brewed with our Lacàph Phin Blend Maker, the cup is smooth and surprising, perfectly balancing the unique flavours of Vietnamese coffee and intensifying the beans’ individual characteristics.

Some people call the phin ‘Vietnamese rocket fuel.’ We think our Lacàph Phin Blend offers a more balanced approach to the traditional Vietnamese brew, with an enticing contemporary twist that encourages pouring a second cup.
